Alternative provision

Learning beyond the classroom

Approved, outcome-focused provision for young people who thrive outside a traditional classroom. We pair angling with our outdoor classroom to rebuild confidence, routine and a sense of self.

Who it's for

When the classroom isn't working — yet

We work alongside schools, families and care settings to support young people who need something different. The bank meets them where they are.

Mental health

Anxiety, low mood and confidence — a calm, low-stimulation space to breathe.

SEND

Sessions shaped around individual needs, sensory comfort and pace.

Risk of exclusion

Re-engaging young people who've disconnected from school life.

Young carers & care

Time and space that's just for them, away from everything else.

How it works

A typical placement

01

Referral & plan

We talk with the school or family to understand needs, goals and any risks before day one.

02

On the bank

Regular one-to-one or small-group sessions — angling, the outdoor classroom and proper mentoring.

03

Build & reflect

Skills, routine and confidence grow week on week, with reflection woven through each visit.

04

Report back

Clear feedback to schools on engagement and progress, so the whole team sees the journey.
