Amazing staff and extremely supportive fun day and really gave me a boost, being disabled in a small town is really difficult without clubs like these that give you purpose, i will definately be going to more events. I recommend to anyone who suffers with mental health or disabled or just want to get into something new with an amazing staff who are fully supportive
I had a thoroughly enjoyable day with Chris and the team, they are very knowledgeable, friendly and cant do enough to help make the experience a great one! If anybody gets chance to join the team on an event, do it! You won't be dissapointed.

Highly recommend Mending Lines. My son attended a 2 hour session with his friend today, they both thoroughly enjoyed it. They also allowed my daughter to have a go whilst waiting for the boys to finish. A really lovely, friendly team, very helpful and gave the children a wonderful experience which has encouraged them to continue fishing. The Mending lines team are incredible. From the moment you get there they will make your child and yourself feel at ease and introduce them in to fishing or continue with there progress if you aren’t new to fishing. I would highly recommend Mending Lines!! My son started to show an interest in fishing so I booked a trail session and never looked back since. Chris and his team are amazing. They have helped George learn new skills, and also built up his confidence and self esteem. Chris is so patient and understanding to Georges needs. George always looks forward to his next fishing session which is now a weekly session.

Amazing experience for any child wanting to try out fishing but particularly those having a hard time and in need of the other benefits that it brings- being out in nature,connecting people,building confidence and independence! I can’t say enough great things about Mending Lines! My son has the best experience learning how to fish with them. Mending Lines has had such a positive impact on both Ethan and me. Ethan has ADHD, autism, and anxiety, and it has always been difficult to find something that truly helps him relax and focus. Fishing is just his thing. It gives him calm, confidence, and a real sense of achievement. Through Mending Lines, Ethan’s confidence has grown enormously. He has chosen fishing as his skill for his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and is really enjoying it. What makes me most proud is that he now feels confident enough to help Chris coach others. He is extremely proud of himself, and rightly so. For both of us, Mending Lines has been much more than just fishing. It has given us time together, helped our wellbeing, and created opportunities we never expected. From this, we are now involved in a world filled with some amazing people, and we are so grateful for everything it has brought into our lives.
None of us three had ever fished before so we're a little apprehensive, needn't have worried, Chris and the team looked after us and gave us loads of confidence, wasn't too long before we were all "hooked" 🤣
I would highly recommend Mending lines. My son has found an absolute love for fishing and it wouldn't have been possible without Chris. He is an absolute amazing man who is so good at working with my Son and helps build his self esteem and confidence. Not all super hero's wear capes!!
myself and my two sons (17 & 15) attended a taster day with Chris, followed this up with a 1:1 a few days later, what an absolute delight it was, Chris is patient and ensured we were all happy, never thought we would catch so many fish either, I think he has three more converts
My 11 year old son benefitted from a 1-1 session with Mending Lines today. He had an amazing time, learnt so much and Chris is a very intuitive coach, quickly establishing a great rapport with his friendliness and he was constantly assessing how Alex was doing and giving really personalised supportive feedback and advice to help. We're certainly going back and would highly recommend Mending Lines.
My son and I have had an amazing time learning to fish, Chris is fantastic with my son Michael, he is very patient and very knowledgeable, worth the 1 hour drive there and back. Absolutely recommend Chris and the team for anyone looking to learn to fish.
