Our aims
- Encourage regular attendance and engagement.
- Support learners who struggle with attendance and identify barriers early.
- Work positively with families and professionals.
- Maintain accurate attendance records.
- Promote a safe and supportive learning environment.
Recording & reporting absence
Attendance registers are completed for all sessions. Parents/carers or referring schools should notify us as soon as possible if a learner will not be attending; where no reason is given, staff may make contact to ensure the learner's wellbeing.
Supporting attendance
- Positive relationships and small group environments.
- Flexible, reduced-pressure approaches where appropriate.
- Outdoor and practical activities and consistent routines.
- Emotional wellbeing support and communication with families and professionals.
